Business Continuity

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BDR)

Backups that get tested, not just monitored. A backup nobody has ever restored is an assumption, and assumptions are what fail during a disaster.

Stay Open for Business No Matter What Happens

Any seasoned IT professional will tell you the truth:
there are two types of systems: those that have failed, and those that will. The only question is when.

At InterPeak Technology Solutions, our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BDR) services ensure that when the unexpected happens, hardware failure, ransomware, human error, or natural disaster. your business keeps running.

We deliver peace of mind through cloud-hosted backup and rapid recovery solutions powered by Cove.

Don’t Underestimate the Importance of Your Data

Your company’s data is one of its most valuable assets. It represents years of work, institutional knowledge, customer relationships, and operational history.

Yet more than 80% of businesses lack a reliable backup and recovery strategy. Many believe they are protected until they experience data loss and discover their backups are incomplete, outdated, or too slow to restore.

The cost of professional data recovery is enormous and never guaranteed. When data is gone, it’s often gone for good.

The real question isn’t if data loss will occur it's how prepared you are when it does.

Always Open for Business

Traditional backups help but they still result in hours or days of downtime while systems are restored. That kind of disruption is no longer acceptable.

Our BDR solution doesn’t just back up your data. it ensures business continuity.

With frequent, automated backups and rapid system recovery, downtime is reduced from days to minutes. In the event of a failure, your systems can be brought online quickly so your team stays productive while repairs or replacements are handled in the background.

Our Business Continuity & BDR Offerings

Cloud-Hosted Backup Solutions

We securely back up your servers, workstations, and critical applications to encrypted cloud infrastructure. This protects your data from:

  • Hardware failure
  • Ransomware and cyberattacks
  • Accidental deletion or corruption
  • Fire, flood, theft, or other disasters

Backups are automated, encrypted, and stored off-site to ensure maximum protection.

Rapid Virtual Server & System Recovery

When downtime happens, speed matters.

Our solution allows entire systems, servers and virtual machines to be restored or spun up in the cloud in minutes, not days. Your business continues operating while permanent fixes are completed.

Disaster Recovery Planning

Technology alone isn’t enough. We work with you to define:

  • Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
  • Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Critical systems and priorities

This ensures your recovery plan is aligned with how your business actually operates.

Continuous Monitoring & Testing

Backups that aren’t tested can’t be trusted.

We continuously monitor backup health, verify integrity, and proactively resolve issues to ensure your data is always recoverable when you need it most.

Cloud Means Open for Business, Even During a Disaster

Because your data and systems are securely stored in the cloud, your business can continue operating even if your physical location is unavailable.

In the event of a major disaster, fire, flood, or total site loss; your network, servers, and data can be accessed and restored from secure cloud data centers without additional emergency costs.

This is true business continuity.

Common questions

Isn't our data already backed up by Microsoft 365?

This is the most common and most expensive misconception we run into. Microsoft replicates your data for their own resilience, but retention is limited and deleted items age out. If an employee deletes a mailbox, or ransomware encrypts SharePoint files, Microsoft's native retention will often not get it back. Microsoft 365 needs its own backup.

How quickly can you get us running again after a failure?

That's set by your recovery time objective, which we define with you rather than assume. Critical systems can be brought up in a virtualized environment within hours; less urgent systems restore over a longer window. The point of setting it in advance is that you know the answer before you need it.

How much data would we lose in a disaster?

That's the recovery point objective, how far back the last good copy is. Backup frequency is set to match what your business can tolerate losing. For most clients that's hourly for critical systems, daily for the rest.

Do you actually test the backups, or just monitor them?

We test restores on a schedule, not just check that jobs completed. A backup that has never been restored is an assumption. Most backup failures are discovered during a real disaster, which is the worst possible time.

Will backups survive a ransomware attack?

That's the design requirement. Backups are kept isolated from the production environment so an attacker who gets domain access can't reach and encrypt them too. Ransomware operators specifically target backups first, because a business with working backups doesn't pay.

Where is our data actually stored?

Backups are stored both locally for fast recovery and replicated off-site in geographically separate data centers, so a fire, flood or tornado at your facility doesn't take the copies with it. We'll document exactly where your data lives, which matters if you have customer or regulatory requirements.
